Due to the nature of Island living, and the unique challenges
posed by the location of Tory Island, the Comarchcummann along with its State parners, provide a first-class health, personal
care, and a range of emergency/rescue services.
The 24-hour, 365-day Island nurse service operates out of the HSE day center
and provides home visit and pharmacy support - the bi-weekly Docter visit augments the on-call nursing operation. The HSE provides a meals on wheels operation
for the Island pensioners - the delivery is supported by the local Coast Guard Service. The HSE center incorporates the personal fitness center.
The Comharchcumann and its partners provide a range of emergency/safety
services including: local Fire Service, Coast Guard, and Abulatory/First Respoder Teams. Working
