Ferry to Tory Island

Supported by the Department of the Gaeltachta, the all-year ferry service carries passengers and freight from Magheroarty to Tory Island, and runs to a season-oriented published timetable.

The 'Queen of Aran' service runs daily from Magheroarty. Tickets can be bought onboard, however, advance purchase is encoured (especially during the Suimmer season) via the website, directly by telephone, or via the mobile phone app. During high season, tickets can also be purchased at the Ferry office at the harbour - the office is located at the start of the harbour, on your left beside the public toilets.

Adverse weather and tidal condition can have an impact on the ferry operation - daily schedule and ferry times may change. It is always advised to check the webiste or mobile app, or to phone in advance to check/confirm cancellations or altered departure times.

The service is the official carrier to Toraigh and is operated by Realt na Maidne Teoranta.
